About Plums

Plums the Clown is also known as Angie Meltsner. In 2025, Angie started taking modern clowning classes while working through The Artist’s Way. She realized she could (and should!) live a life more full of play, joy, and laughter, and could (and should!) share in that with her local community as well. Thus, Plums was born. Along with continuing her clowning education, she is working on juggling and magic tricks to help Plums become even more of a delightful entertainer!

When she’s not Plums, Angie runs her own consumer insights and trends research business. She is originally from Michigan but has been in the Boston area since 2010. She is lucky to have a live-in mini assistant clown and face paint model (her daughter!) to remind her to find the fun and games in every moment of every day.

As Plums the Clown, Angie is fully insured and CORI’ed. She uses only high quality paints specifically for face painting and high quality latex balloons specifically for balloon twisting. She is a member of the World Clown Association and Clowns of America International.
